River Full of Donations
Jay Verma’s debut sees the talented pianist zone in on the small details of felt piano. Accompanying the five short compositions is an artwork made of five wooden pieces cut to the their relative lengths. Each one is adorned with ambiguous but implicit objects and materials - donations - creating a miniature landscape which invites the viewer to look closer, just like Jay does with his music.

Spring - Summer - Autumn - Winter
For his next solo work Jay Verma embarks on a year long project, writing and recording an EP for each season as they are passing. The artwork is again very improvisational, responding to images and conversations with watercolours to evoke an impression without explicit depiction.
