Tom Ashbrook’s debut release is an enigmatic collection of piano-based compositions. Each piece is loosely connected to one of the classical elements; water, earth, fire, air and æther (or void, that which contains the others).

The intention was to steer clear of well known symbology and create a set of original, totemic artefacts which would ultimately combine to form the full EP version. Typical colour coding was also rejected. In line with the simple elegance of the music, the designs were made using layered tracing paper cut-outs, allowing light and texture to offer a sense of depth and form.
